Maile Vine Mission Statement

Our Mission is to empower Kids to pursue their own interests by utilizing the free resources in the Community to sample avenues of Creative expression. We seek to provide Kids with electronic devices for academic and social purposes. Knowing that the best education is by accident and the most effective change is by intention; We seek to create a Community Education program. 

We seek to link Community Business with opportunities to Sponsor Education Workshops with Tools and Monies to provide greater opportunity for all Kids. We believe that Education begins in the home and that Parents are the first Teacher. Our Program is designed to develop the everyday tools available at home, namely a family and the Community around it.

Community Education is about harvesting the Educational relationship between Businesses, Residents and the Children of the next generation. We promote appropriate use of all material resources so that nothing goes to waste. Through Education, Expression and Collaboration; We send the next generation forward to a hopeful future ~

10 year old suspended over finger gun ~ Article Discussion

According to CNN.com in an article We read, Nathan a 10 year old was suspended from school. His Teacher says he pointed his finger, like a gun, to the back of someone's head who was not looking. He was suspended for three days but says he doesn't know why. We found out the School had sent letters home about this issue being a problem behavior in school. Nathan's Father said he never got a note but heard it was a problem.

How to Make a Milkshake ~

Ingredients:

Zipper snack bag

4 Oreo Cookies

3 scoops of Reduced Fat Ice Cream

1 oz. Reduced Fat Milk

1 squirt of Chocolate Syrup

Ice (optional)

Tools:

Blender

Spoon

Cups

Before you start:

 Tie your hair back...

...and wash your hands

 Put cookies into snack bag

 ... and smash with a can

Put ice cream, milk and syrup in blender. Blend first then... 

add cookie crumbs. Blend a bit more. 

Pour into a cup….
